after the experience in the italian serie a and the one in the premier league, i lived another fascinating challenge. at the end of september 2013 i accepted president ünal aysal's offer to sit on the galatasaray bench and replace fatih terim. thus i began my adventure at the helm of the most successful and popular club in turkey. eight months later we finished second in the league and won the turkish cup. that's what football is about, it gives you the chance to know new countries and new cultures. every experience, every nation, every city with its fans, every club and its executives are a personal and professional development. i've always been honored to be part of a club, first as a player and later as a coach.
